So you are aware, it will take quite a large change in temperature before the needle deviates from it's central position.. hardly enough to warn you before it's too late. I forget when my needle reaches it's normal position, but it's something like 130* on my Techtom. If you're really trying to monitor water temps, you WILL need a Techtom, N-probe, Defi Link-Display, or a good electronic temp gauge. Here's a pic of my Techtom in action. You can actually watch it deviate 1 or 2 degrees at a time.. very accurate. .
